What's Giftmeister® all about?

Giftmeister® is a social networking tool that lets you easily find consumer electronics gifts for friends, as well as find and share your own gift wish list. Giftmeister® gives you personalized gift recommendations, lets you share ideas with friends, track prices and find out where and how you can buy your gifts.

Giftmeister® is available on the web and as an iPhone app.

How can I use Giftmeister® to find gifts?

Giftmeister® lets you enter some information about the person you're shopping for and then suggests products that might be right for him or her. From there, you can learn more about each product, further refine your search results and add products to a friend’s gift list or your own wish list. You can also search for products by keyword.

1. Click Find Gifts.
2. Select the gender, age range, price range and lifestyle that best fit the person you are shopping for and click Find Gifts.
   
   OR
   
   Enter a brand, product type or product number in the keyword search field at the bottom right, and then click >>.
3. On the Search Results screen:
   • Click Info to learn more about a product.
   • Click Add to add a product to a friend’s shopping list or your own wish list.
   • Click Refine Results to narrow your search.

How can I manage gift ideas?

Giftmeister® allows you to track birthdays and other events, create shopping lists, share gift ideas with friends and set up price notifications. You can also track products you want with the wish list feature.

To share a gift idea with a friend:

1. On the Product Info screen, click Ask a Friend.
2. Select Send an email or Post to Facebook, and follow the instructions to send your message.

To receive a notification when prices drop:

1. On the Product Info screen, click Price Drop Notification.
2. Fill out the Price Drop Notification form and click Notify Me.
3. If the price goes down, you will see a notification on your dashboard. Click the notification to go to the Product Info page and view the new price or buy the product from a third-party site.

What's the wish list all about?

Create and manage a list of all the tech toys you wish you had! Then share or trade your wish list with others.

Your wish list is automatically created when you sign up for a Giftmeister® account. All you need to do is add products to it! Then share or trade your wish list with others.

To add items to your wish list:

1. Click Add next to the item on the Search Results or Info screen.
2. Click Add to wish list.

To share your wish list:

1. Click My Dashboard.
2. Click My Lists.
3. Select wish lists.
4. Click Share My wish list, and follow the steps to share or email your list.

What's the Shopping List all about?

Create a shopping list for each person you're shopping for. You can create new lists or add products to existing lists from product searches or from a friend’s wish list.

To add an item to a Shopping List from the Search Results or Info screen:

1. Click Add next to the item.
2. Click Add to Shopping List.
3. Select an existing list from the menu and click Add to Shopping List
   
   OR
   
   Create a new list by filling out the requested information and clicking Create Shopping List.

To add an item to a Shopping List from a wish list:

1. Click Reserve next to the item. This places the item in your Shopping List and prevents other users from buying the same gift.

To remove an item from a Shopping List:

1. Go to your friend's wish list.
2. Click Un-Gift next to the item. This removes the item from your Shopping List and makes it available to others on your friend's wish list.

How can I add friends to Giftmeister®?

1. On the Find Gifts page, click Invite Friends.
2. Follow the instructions to send the email invitation.
3. Once your friends join:
   • Friends with upcoming birthdays will appear on the Find Gifts screen and on your dashboard.
   • You can see all friends by going to Find Gifts and clicking See All Friends.
   • You can also see all friends by going to your dashboard and clicking My Friends.
